Sylas is the third pose in Great Grimoire's Umbral Sentinels Pawn range, and one of the most characterful of the set. This winged fiend warrior strides forward from a swirling shadow-flame base, spear levelled and shield braced, its bat-like wings spread wide and its face obscured by a blindfold that somehow makes it more unsettling, not less. The chainmail and layered plate armour speak to a soldier of the lower planes — not a mindless brute, but something with discipline, purpose, and a chain of command you do not want to meet further up the hierarchy.

Sylas works equally well as a recurring antagonist, a lieutenant to a greater fiend, or a foot soldier in a larger infernal warband. The sculpt carries enough presence to hold its own on a display shelf, and enough personality to give your players a genuine sense of dread when they see it placed on the battle map. Three decorative base options — Bricks, Tiles, or Pedestal (all 55mm) — let you tailor the presentation to your setting or collection.

Encounter Hook:
The party have tracked the cult to the old garrison, expecting hollow-eyed zealots and dark rituals. Instead, they find the courtyard already cleared — twelve cultists dead, arranged in formation — and Sylas standing at the gate, spear resting on one shoulder, waiting. It wasn't sent to stop the party. It was sent to deliver a message: the Archduke already knows they're coming.

Sylas is scaled to 35mm and is supplied unpainted, primed and ready for your brushwork. When ordering, please specify your preferred decorative base style: Bricks (55mm), Tiles (55mm), or Pedestal (55mm). If ordering a set of 8, note which poses you'd like — otherwise the set will include at least one of each available pose. Some minor support marks may be present and are easily cleaned up.
