This Turtlefolk Grave Robber is a hulking, reptilian figure with the unmistakable silhouette of a tortle or lizardfolk-adjacent creature — wide-jawed, thick-limbed, and bristling with quiet menace. He carries a broad-bladed axe rested across one shoulder with casual confidence, as though the weapon weighs nothing and the night's work is already done. His front is wrapped in a rough cord belt and tattered loincloth, while the back reveals a large natural shell encrusted with jagged rock-like protrusions — a natural armour plate that no blacksmith could improve upon.
The sculpt captures a wealth of surface detail: banded rope wrappings around his forearms and shins, scaled and leathery skin texture across the torso, and wide reptilian feet planted firmly on the ground. His expression — open-mawed, teeth visible — sits somewhere between a smirk and a snarl. This is not a creature who was caught grave robbing. This is a creature who absolutely does not care that you know.
Whether you're running him as a swamp-dwelling thug, a morally ambiguous guide through a cursed cemetery, or a rogue with a troubling side business, this miniature has the character to carry the role. Adventurers who love painting textured, characterful humanoids will find plenty to work with here — from the rough shell surface to the coarse-woven rope details.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run encounters in swamps, graveyards, or cursed ruins
- Need a Tortle or reptilian rogue or fighter for their table
- Are building a morally ambiguous NPC crew or encounter group
- Enjoy painting detailed, characterful non-human sculpts
- Want a display piece with strong silhouette and surface variety
Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to recover a stolen signet ring from a noble's family tomb — but when they arrive, the crypt door is already ajar and fresh claw marks score the stone. Inside, they find an empty coffin, a dropped rope belt, and, lurking deeper in the shadows, a heavyset turtlefolk who clearly wasn't expecting company and hasn't yet decided whether to run or swing.
