Turkey Raptor Eggs by Epic Miniatures
Description
The forest floor shudders as the turkey raptor spreads its bladed tail feathers wide, standing guard over a clutch of mottled eggs — and it has decided your party is far too close.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This large-scale beast miniature combines the bulk of a ground bird with the menace of a predatory raptor. The main figure rears upright on scaled taloned feet, its round feathered body bristling with a dramatic fan of segmented blade-like tail feathers that spread outward like a folded weapon. A crest of sharp spines crowns its head, and small vestigial wings flare at its sides — more display than flight. The texture work across the body is exceptional, with fine scale-and-feather detailing visible across the torso and legs.
Accompanying the raptor is a separate nest piece — a coiled ring of rope or sinew cradling a clutch of five large, patterned eggs. It works equally well as a standalone scatter piece or placed directly beside the main figure to tell the story of a mother beast defending her brood. Both pieces are rendered in digital render previews showing unpainted grey resin, giving you a clear view of the sculpt's impressive detail depth before paint goes anywhere near it.
The miniature sits on a large 51mm base, making it a proper presence on the table — big enough to function as a meaningful encounter creature without overwhelming the grid. Whether you run it as a territorial beast, a ranger's bonded companion, or a nest-guarding hazard in a wilderness hex, it reads clearly and dramatically from across the table.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a distinctive large beast encounter for forest, grassland, or jungle settings
- Want a nest/egg scatter piece to set the scene for a territorial creature encounter
- Are running a ranger, druid, or beast master campaign arc
- Collect creature miniatures for display and diorama building
Encounter Hook: The party has been tasked with retrieving one of the raptor's eggs for an alchemist who claims the shells are essential to a curative brew. As they approach the nest, the mother raptor returns from hunting — and she did not come back alone.
