Description

It fans its razor-edged plumage wide and screams — a display of raw aggression that tells the party it has already decided to attack.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Part turkey, part raptor, entirely furious — the Turkey Raptor is one of those creatures that looks almost ridiculous right up until it opens its beak and lunges. The sculpt captures it mid-threat display: taloned feet planted wide, head thrust forward with beak agape, and that magnificent fan of overlapping blade-like feathers fully raised at its back. Every quill has been individually detailed, giving the fanned plumage a genuinely menacing architectural quality — less peacock, more war machine.

The body tells the full story of something evolved purely for aggression. Scaled legs end in vicious curved talons. Dense, textured plumage covers the torso and throat, while the neck carries rows of bony ridges and spines that frame the snarling, crested head. The wide stance and forward-leaning posture sell the threat display convincingly — this is a creature that has chosen violence and is announcing it clearly. On a 51mm base, it sits comfortably in large creature territory, giving your party something substantial to reckon with.

Painted up, this mini rewards those who like working with layered feather textures — the individual quills and body scales offer plenty of surface variation. Whether you're going for natural earth tones and iridescent plumage tips, or something more otherworldly and aberrant, the sculpt handles both approaches with equal character.

A fine choice for adventurers who:

  • Run wilderness or jungle encounters that need something genuinely dangerous and unusual
  • Want a large beast miniature with real presence and dynamic posing
  • Are building out a dinosaur or giant-bird-themed encounter roster
  • Enjoy painting feathered textures and want a sculpt that rewards the effort
  • Collect creatures that sit interestingly between familiar and fantastical

Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking what they assumed was a large wolf through the grasslands — but the prints are wrong, too wide and clawed differently. As they enter a clearing, they find a farmer's cart overturned and half-eaten, and hear a sharp, rattling shriek from the treeline. Three Turkey Raptors emerge, the largest one fanning its feathers and screaming to draw attention while the other two circle wide.
