Troglodytes are a staple of the Underdark and subterranean encounters, but this sculpt from Monster Atlas elevates them well beyond their stat block. This is a creature mid-lunge — hunched low, claws splayed wide, jaws open in a silent roar. The spike-crested skull, layered hide plates, and sinewy limbs make it read less as a cave-dwelling nuisance and more as an apex predator that has spent millennia adapting to the dark. The detail in the musculature and scales rewards close painting — washes, dry-brushing, and spot highlights will bring out every ridge and hollow in this design.
Three distinct sculpts are available in this range, each capturing a different moment of aggression — from a forward-lunging crouch to a full upright snarl. Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — the pose is sculpted to interact naturally with the base, so we'd recommend using it as intended for the best result. The model arrives support-free and ready for priming, painting, or immediate use straight out of the box.
