  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Tridrones are the soldier-caste of the modrons — triangular-bodied constructs that serve as the enforcers of Primus's iron will. This is pose 02 of our Modron Tridrone range, sculpted by Novaminis. Where pose 01 stands in ready guard, this variant captures the Tridrone in a dynamic, forward-leaning stance — two of its three arms bracing a long spear diagonally across its body, a third wielding a shorter throwing spear at the ready. The mechanical joint work across the legs and arms is rendered with exceptional clarity: ball-socket shoulders, segmented limb sections, and blocky geometric feet anchor this creature in the unsettling mechanical logic that makes modrons so distinctive at the table.

For Dungeon Masters running Planescape-adjacent campaigns, a Spelljammer arc, or any encounter where the party stumbles into lawful-gone-wrong territory, the Tridrone is a creature that communicates volumes before initiative is even rolled. As a display piece, the angular geometry and layered mechanical detail reward careful painting — metallic washes, object-source lighting from the eye, or a worn brass patina all suit this sculpt beautifully.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Planescape, Spelljammer, or Mechanus-adjacent campaigns
  • Need rank-and-file modron soldiers for a modron march encounter
  • Want a challenging, geometry-forward painting project
  • Collect constructs and mechanical creatures for display
  • Are building a lawful-neutral faction with real visual presence on the table

Encounter Hook:
The patrol of six Tridrones has been marching the same corridor of the abandoned planar fortress for two hundred years — orders unfulfilled, command structure shattered, but the directive intact. When the party blocks their path, the lead Tridrone raises its spear and speaks in a language of pure logic: stand aside, or become a deviation to be corrected.
