Subar is a warrior who looks as though he has earned every scar the wasteland has given him. This large-scale bust captures him from the chest up, half-turned and ready — one hand gripping a nocked arrow at waist height, the other extended along the bow's length. A full quiver rides over his left shoulder, its arrows fletched and bound with cord, and a wicked hunting spear crosses his body in the opposite direction. His open vest is studded with diamond-shaped metal plates and bound with a wide leather belt; a thick fur mantle — raw and unprocessed — drapes across his shoulders, giving him the silhouette of something between ranger and barbarian chieftain. His forearms are wrapped in cord-bound bracers, and every detail from the feather-tied arrows to the tool at his belt speaks of a warrior who lives entirely off the land.

Subar's face is the sculpt's real centrepiece: a broad, heavy-browed expression of cold focus, framed by long wind-tangled hair and a pronounced moustache. He is not angry. He is waiting — and that is somehow more unsettling. The bust sits on a solid decorative plinth base, making this a genuinely impressive centrepiece for a display shelf or painting competition entry.
