This Tree Stump with Sword is one of those scatter pieces that earns its place on the table every single session. Whether it marks the site of a fallen hero, a legendary weapon awaiting its chosen wielder, or simply a curious woodland detail your party can't quite leave alone, it brings instant narrative weight to any forest, druid grove, or Feywild encounter. The sculpt captures beautifully gnarled bark texture, exposed roots gripping the earth, and a longsword driven hilt-deep into the flat of the stump — practical detail that reads clearly at tabletop distance.
Two size variants are included: a larger, more imposing stump that anchors a scene, and a smaller companion piece that works well as additional scatter or a secondary point of interest. Both share the same quality of detail and make equally compelling centrepieces or background dressing depending on how you deploy them.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a quest objective or legendary weapon prop that players will immediately fixate on
- Need atmospheric scatter terrain for forest, woodland, or Feywild encounters
- Are building a druid grove, cursed forest, or Arthurian-flavoured campaign setting
- Enjoy painting character-rich environmental pieces for display as well as play
Encounter Hook:
The party enters a clearing deep in the Whisperwood to find an ancient stump, its bark carved with runes that glow faintly in the dusk — and a longsword buried to the crossguard in the wood. Local legend says it belonged to a knight who swore never to draw it again. The runes are freshly lit. Someone, or something, has just tried.
Scaled to 32mm. Comes in two size variants as shown. Both are supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all fine-detail prints, minor marks are possible and can be cleaned up easily before painting.
