Tree by Epic Miniatures
Description
The ancient pines of the Whisperwood stand so thick and tall that travellers lose the sky entirely — and something in the shadows between the roots has been watching since long before the road was built.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This large pine tree terrain piece brings immediate atmosphere to any forest encounter. The sculpt features dense, tiered conifer foliage with individual needle clusters layered from the wide base up to the tapering crown — a level of detail that rewards even a simple basecoat-and-drybrush paint job. The gnarled trunk anchors it with rugged bark texture, giving the piece a natural, weathered presence on the table.
Available in two size variants shown side by side in the product image — a larger centrepiece tree and a smaller companion — so you can build out a forest scene with genuine depth and scale variation. The blue d20 in the render gives a clear sense of size: this is a substantial piece of terrain that commands the battlefield.
Whether you are populating the Whisperwood, dropping your party into a Feywild glade, or setting a druid's grove encounter, trees of this quality shift the whole tone of the table. They also make excellent additions to dioramas and display boards for painters who want to build full scenic environments.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run forest, wilderness, or Feywild encounters regularly
- Want scatter terrain that genuinely transforms a battle map
- Enjoy painting scenic terrain as well as character miniatures
- Are building a display diorama with a woodland or nature theme
- Want to give their druid, ranger, or nature-themed campaign a proper visual anchor
Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a missing shepherd into the Ashwood for two days when the trees simply stop letting them leave. Every path curves back to the same clearing — and in the centre, a circle of pine trees older than the kingdom has begun to slowly, deliberately close inward.
