Tree 13 from Novaminis is a striking palm-style scatter terrain piece — and this listing offers two sculpt variants in one: a twin-trunked palm cluster and a single-trunked specimen, each with dramatically layered, segmented fronds that fan outward from the crown. The render showcases the extraordinary surface detail on both versions, with deeply textured bark on the trunks and individual frond segments that catch light beautifully once painted. These are not generic woodland conifers — the exotic silhouette speaks clearly of desert wadis, tropical coastlines, jungle clearings, and cursed oases.
The twin-trunk variant creates a natural focal point on the table, tall enough to provide genuine line-of-sight blocking for 32mm miniatures without overwhelming the scene. The single-trunk version works as a companion piece or as standalone dressing for a broader landscape. Together they allow a DM to build out a convincing arid or tropical environment with just a few pieces.
Painted or primed in sandy ochres, weathered browns, and dusty greens, these palms will slot naturally into desert ruins, coastal pirate coves, jungle temple approaches, or any Feywild grove with a sun-drenched twist. The sculptural quality of the fronds — each leaf segment clearly delineated — makes them a rewarding paint project in their own right.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Run desert, jungle, coastal, or tropical encounter settings
- Want scatter terrain that adds genuine atmosphere, not just filler
- Are building a display diorama with an exotic or arid biome theme
- Need line-of-sight blocking terrain with visual interest
- Love a rewarding terrain painting project with strong surface detail
Encounter Hook: The caravan was supposed to rest at the twin palms — a well-known landmark on the Amber Road. When the party arrives, the palms are still standing, but the caravan is gone. Twelve wagons, forty merchants, and not a single footprint in the sand. Only a faint smell of brimstone, and the fronds hanging utterly still despite the desert wind.
