Description

Deep in the bowels of a gnomish war-foundry, something long-forgotten has reawakened — iron wheels grinding on ancient tracks, a smokestack bellowing arcane vapour, and mechanical claws reaching for anything foolish enough to stand in its path.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Train Robot is a gloriously over-engineered mechanical nightmare — part locomotive, part war machine, and entirely the creation of an inventor who clearly never heard the phrase "that's too much". Rolling forward on a bank of iron wheels, it bristles with pipes, gear-driven arms, protruding hooks, and a towering exhaust stack that erupts in a billowing cloud of steam. The boiler body sits low and wide, with every surface crammed with mechanical detail: bolted panels, interlocking cogs, dangling tools, and chunks of coal spilling from its cargo bed. A forward-mounted spike juts out from the chassis like a battering ram with ambitions.

This is a construct that tells a story the moment it hits the table. Whether it's a rogue automaton loose in the undercity, a gnomish artificer's pride-and-joy gone haywire, or the mechanical guardian of some forgotten forge, the Train Robot commands attention. The level of sculpted surface detail rewards careful painting — metallic drybrushing, rust washes, and OSL on the boiler glow will all sing on this piece. It works equally well as an encounter mini and as a centrepiece display model.

This is a multipart sculpt with a choice of decorative or plain base, giving you the flexibility to mount it however suits your table or display shelf.

Adventurers who'll love this one:

  • DMs building steampunk, Eberron, or arcane-industrial encounters
  • Players whose artificer has developed some questionable side projects
  • Painters who want a large, detail-rich surface to work through
  • Collectors drawn to mechanical and construct miniatures
  • Anyone running a "the machines have turned on us" session

Encounter Hook: The party descends into an abandoned gnomish rail terminus beneath the city. The platforms are silent — until a distant rumble builds to a roar and the Train Robot comes thundering out of the dark tunnel, trailing steam and sparks, its mechanical arms tearing through the support pillars as it bears down on them. Stopping it means finding the control gem buried somewhere in its armoured boiler casing — without getting flattened by those iron wheels first.
