This totem pole is a richly detailed piece of scatter terrain that brings genuine character to wilderness encounters, druidic groves, tribal settlements, and forgotten sacred sites. The sculpt features a great owl crowning the top with wings spread wide — feathers carved with individual detail — above a column of three stacked spirit faces, each with its own expression and symbolic markings. Spiralling eyes, bared teeth, and furrowed brows are all rendered with the kind of depth that rewards both painters and players leaning in for a closer look.
Whether it marks the boundary of a territorial tribe's hunting grounds, serves as a focal point for a nature deity's shrine, or hides a bound spirit your players must commune with or destroy, this totem pole earns its place on any battle map. It paints up beautifully with drybrushing and washes to bring out every carved grain of the wood texture.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Build immersive wilderness, jungle, or tribal encounter maps
- Run campaigns featuring druids, rangers, or spirit-touched NPCs
- Want striking scatter terrain that doubles as a display piece
- Love painting textured sculpts with layered wood and stone effects
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing villagers deep into the Thornwood — but as they enter the clearing, they find three totem poles arranged in a triangle, each face turned inward. A low hum fills the air. The central totem's owl eyes are glowing faintly amber, and something inside the carved column is breathing.
Scaled to 32mm and supplied unprimed, ready for painting or use straight from the box. The model with a simple base comes as a single piece attached to the base. The model with plain base comes with the base detached for easy gluing. Some minor support marks may be present — these are easily cleaned up.
