This is a Tortle Barbarian from Monster Atlas, and every line of the sculpt earns its place. The figure stands in a wide, grounded stance, carrying the full bulk of a creature built for endurance and violence in equal measure. Layered cloth wrappings and rope-bound bracers give a sense of hard-won gear rather than crafted armour — this is a fighter who doesn't need much protecting. The beak is set in a cold, deliberate expression, and the ornate axe at their side is no afterthought — its segmented blade carries the kind of detail you'll appreciate under a brush.
Three sculpts are available in this range, each with a distinct pose and character: one with the axe held low and ready, one with the shield-like disc weapon raised mid-stride, and one with the warrior caught in a heavy, purposeful lunge. All three share the same richly textured shell, muscular frame, and wrapped-cloth aesthetic, making them natural companions at the same table or across a campaign. Whether you're painting one or collecting the full trio, these are Tortles that command attention.
Well-suited to Tortle barbarians of any subclass — Berserker, Totem Warrior, Storm Herald — or as a powerful NPC warlord, coastal clan champion, or rival fighter your party won't soon forget.
Right for adventurers who:- Are running a Tortle player character and want a sculpt with genuine presence
- Need a formidable humanoid warrior as an NPC, rival, or faction champion
- Collect creature-race minis and want something beyond the usual humanoid stand-ins
- Enjoy painting highly textured sculpts with strong focal points
- Want a display piece that holds up on a shelf as well as on a grid
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to negotiate safe passage through the coastal marshes — but the Tortle clan's war-chief meets them on the mudflats alone, axe resting on one shoulder, saying nothing. He doesn't need to. The question is whether the party talks first, or reaches for their weapons.

What's included:
One Tortle Barbarian miniature at 32mm scale, supplied with a separate decorative base (attached with superglue). Please note that some models interact with their base in a way that genuinely enhances the finished piece — we'd recommend using it. Hand-checked before dispatch; minor imperfections from the printing process are possible but easily tidied up at the painting stage.
