Description
At the threshold between the mortal world and something older, a stone torii stands — its carved pillars flanked by tiered stone lanterns, waiting for those bold enough to pass beneath.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This torii gate terrain piece brings an unmistakable Eastern fantasy atmosphere to your tabletop. Sculpted with a sweeping curved crossbeam, two weathered stone columns, and a pair of multi-tiered stone lanterns at its base, it evokes the sacred gateways found at ancient shrines — the kind your party might stumble upon deep in a spirit-haunted forest or at the edge of a monastery's outer grounds. Whether you're running a campaign with Oriental Adventures flavour, a spirit realm encounter, or simply want a striking focal point for your battle map, this torii commands the scene without saying a word.
The piece is rendered in an unpainted stone-effect resin, making it a ready canvas for drybrushing weathered granite, aged jade, or whatever sacred stone your setting demands. It works equally well as a display centrepiece or as active scatter terrain mid-encounter.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are building shrine, monastery, or spirit-world encounter maps
- Run campaigns with Eastern fantasy or planar travel themes
- Want a striking display piece that doubles as functional terrain
- Are creating dioramas or painted display collections
Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned your party not to cross the threshold after dusk — but the missing child's footprints lead directly through the torii and into the cedar grove beyond. The lanterns on either side flicker with pale blue flame, though there is no wind. Something stirs in the space between the pillars, and it has noticed you.
Scaled to 32mm. The version with a simple base is supplied as a single attached piece. The version with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy gluing. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin terrain, minor marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to tidy up before painting.
