Tom Bill is a medieval peasant NPC miniature with the kind of lived-in detail that makes a settlement feel genuinely inhabited. He trudges forward with a bundle of rough-hewn wooden stakes balanced over one shoulder and a wooden bucket of root vegetables swinging from his other hand — the very picture of a man who has never stopped working long enough to notice the world changing around him. His hooded linen tunic, rope-wrapped waist, wrapped leg bindings, and simple leather sandals place him firmly at the bottom of the feudal order, but the quiet weariness on his weathered face tells you there's a story there, if you know how to ask.

Whether he's a reluctant witness to something terrible, a loyal farmhand hiding a secret, or simply the first face the party sees when they arrive in a new village, Tom Bill grounds any encounter in a world that feels real. He works equally well as a display piece — his sculpt rewards careful painting, with plenty of texture across the coarse tunic fabric, the gnarled wood of the stakes, and the packed-dirt base beneath his feet.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need believable, characterful townsfolk and NPC minis for their TTRPG campaign
  • Are building a medieval village scatter or settlement scene
  • Run mystery, intrigue, or low-fantasy campaigns where ordinary people carry weight
  • Enjoy painting character-rich minis with strong surface texture and expressive faces
  • Want a display-worthy peasant figure for a historical fantasy or D&D collection

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the hamlet of Greyvale to find the fields half-harvested and half the villagers gone. Tom Bill is the only man still working — hauling his bucket and stakes at dawn, eyes down, jaw set. He won't meet anyone's gaze. When the party's Paladin casts Detect Evil and gets nothing, it only makes things worse. Whatever Tom Bill knows, he's decided it's safer to keep walking.

Tom Bill is printed at 32mm scale for tabletop play, with a display scale option also available. The model comes with a detailed scenic base, attached separately with a small amount of super glue. Every miniature is sent out unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork — though it's equally at home straight out of the box as a gaming piece.
