Description

Behind every weary adventurer's first hot meal in Phandalin stands Toblen Stonehill — tankard in hand, a cautious smile on his face, and more than a few local secrets tucked beneath that simple innkeeper's tunic.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Toblen Stonehill is one of Phandalin's most recognisable faces — the warm, slightly nervous proprietor of the Stonehill Inn, the beating heart of the town's social life. This sculpt from The Toadstool Weaver captures him mid-service: a sturdy wooden tankard thrust forward in welcome, his expression a careful mix of open hospitality and the guarded caution of a man who's seen enough trouble pass through his door to know when more is coming.

The sculpt wears plain working robes belted at the waist — practical, unpretentious, exactly right for a provincial innkeeper who prides himself on honest work. His curly hair and broad, slightly world-worn features are rendered with real character, giving him the lived-in quality that distinguishes a memorable NPC miniature from a generic figure. He's not a warrior, not a mage — he's a man who serves drinks, hears things, and quietly hopes the adventurers at table three don't bring any more Redbrands to his doorstep.

Whether you're running Lost Mine of Phandelver, a homebrew campaign with a cosy frontier town, or just need a believable tavern landlord to populate a settlement, Toblen brings an instantly readable character to the table.

This miniature is especially well suited to adventurers who:

  • Are running Lost Mine of Phandelver or the Phandalin region of the Forgotten Realms
  • Want a characterful, non-combat NPC to anchor a town hub or tavern scene
  • Enjoy painting civilian and townsfolk miniatures as part of a living, breathing settlement
  • Are building out a full cast of recurring NPCs for their campaign world
  • Collect display miniatures that tell a story without a sword in sight

Encounter Hook

The party returns to the Stonehill Inn after a brutal expedition to Tresendar Manor — bruised, short on coin, and in desperate need of information. Toblen sets tankards on the table without being asked, leans in low, and tells them quietly that a hooded figure has been asking questions about them all evening. He's kept the stranger talking with refills. He thought they'd want to know. Place this miniature opposite the party's characters and let the scene breathe — the best NPCs are the ones who feel like they have their own agenda.
