Description

The wheel turns slowly, clay taking shape under steady hands — but the potter's knowing smile suggests he's heard rather more than the travelling merchants who passed through last week might have wished.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Tobias Potter is the kind of NPC that makes a village feel genuinely lived-in. Sculpted seated at his potter's wheel, barefoot and apron-clad, he's mid-throw on a small vessel with a craftsman's quiet focus — and that sly grin hints there's more going on behind those clay-dusted hands than simple honest trade. A low bench beside him holds a small collection of finished pots and bowls, beautifully rendered in fine detail. It's the sort of scene that makes players want to stop and ask questions rather than rush past to the next dungeon entrance.

Whether he's the unassuming local who knows every face in town, a fence disguised as a humble tradesman, or the unexpected keeper of a long-buried secret, Tobias brings the kind of quiet, grounded character energy that elevates any encounter in a village, market, or travelling fair setting. He's equally at home on a gaming table as he is displayed as a standalone piece — the sculpt's warmth and detail reward both adventurers and collectors alike.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Want richly detailed NPC miniatures to populate market towns and villages
  • Need a quest-giver, informant, or red herring with a plausible cover story
  • Are building immersive D&D or TTRPG encounters beyond the dungeon
  • Collect characterful civilian miniatures for display or diorama projects

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in the village of Ashfen following rumours of a missing shipment of alchemical supplies — and every lead points, circuitously, back to the potter's yard at the edge of the market square. Tobias is polite, unhurried, and apparently unbothered. The pots lined up on his bench are sealed with wax. He hasn't offered to open any of them. He's smiling, still.
