Description

Something squat and warty shifts in the bulrushes, mouth agape — the marsh has eyes, and they belong to a toad that has seen more adventurers pass through than it cares to count.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This two-piece set captures the humble toad in two distinctive poses: one with its mouth thrown wide open, as if mid-croak or about to snap at something unfortunate, the other settled low and watchful with its bumpy back hunched and legs tucked beneath it. Both sculpts sit on integrated scenic bases complete with tufted marsh grass and a cluster of bulrushes, giving each mini an immediate sense of damp, boggy atmosphere straight out of the box.

The detail across both pieces is precise — each warty bump and skin fold reads clearly, and the bulrush stalks have excellent texture that will hold a wash beautifully. These are small sculpts with a lot of personality, and they reward a careful paint job: mottled greens and earthy browns will bring the marsh floor to life, while a gloss coat on the eyes adds instant character.

Whether you need a familiar for your druid, a harmless-looking hazard lurking on a wetlands encounter map, or simply a bit of swampy scatter to dress your table, these toads deliver exactly what the scene needs — unhurried, unbothered, and thoroughly at home in the mud.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Run swamp, marshland, or wilderness encounters and want believable wildlife on the table
  • Play or DM with druids, rangers, or nature-themed characters who keep animal companions or familiars
  • Enjoy painting small creatures where every texture and skin detail tells a story
  • Want characterful scatter pieces that add atmosphere without dominating the scene

Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a will-o'-wisp through the Murkmere Fens for two hours when their ranger notices something off — every toad in the marsh has stopped croaking at once, and the largest one, squatting on a half-submerged log directly ahead, is staring at the cleric with what can only be described as deliberate intent. The druid rolls Insight. The DM smiles.
