Tiefling Lunar Priestess (Violet Moonridge) by DM Stash

She walks between moonlight and shadow, her serpent-crowned staff raised to a sky only she can truly read — and the city of Westlook has learned, to its cost, never to mistake her piety for gentleness.

Violet Moonridge is a tiefling cleric of rare bearing — robed in layered ceremonial vestments that billow and catch as though moved by an unseen lunar tide. Her wide sleeves are edged with floral detailing, and a fitted bodice bears further botanical ornament, giving her the look of a priestess whose faith is intertwined with the natural world even as her heritage speaks of something altogether less wholesome. Her tiefling tail curls sharply behind her, a physical reminder that she is no ordinary devotee, and small curved horns crown a head held with quiet, absolute authority.

The centrepiece of the sculpt is her staff — a towering, dramatically proportioned ritual weapon wreathed in twisting serpentine forms, the creatures coiling upward around a vine-laden shaft to meet in an elaborate finial at the top. It is the kind of prop that reads immediately across a gaming table: this character commands attention and channels power. Violet's free hand extends slightly at her side, fingers splayed in a gesture that could be benediction or warning depending entirely on how she is used.

She stands on a detailed scenic rubble base — shattered stone and crystalline debris scattered beneath her feet — which assembles separately to give painters clean access to the robes and lower detail before final attachment. The whole composition leans slightly forward, lending her a dynamic sense of presence that suits both a veteran NPC pulling strings from the shadows and a player character who has earned her position through faith, cunning, or sheer force of will.

Violet translates beautifully with layered washes for the flowing robes — cool moonstone greys or deep midnight blues contrast well against warm bronze or rust for the tail and staff vine work. The serpent forms on the staff reward careful highlighting, and the floral details on the bodice and belt are crisp enough to take fine-line work with confidence.

Encounter Hook: The party is summoned before the High Convocation of Westlook to answer for desecrating a lunar shrine — only to find Violet Moonridge seated at the head of the council, her staff resting across her knees, and a smile on her face that suggests she already knows everything they are about to say.
