This is Thrall 04 from Novaminis — the fourth variation in their thrall series, and arguably the most unsettling. Where other thralls stand and shamble, this one lunges. Sculpted mid-charge with one knee raised and arms spread wide, the pose radiates frantic, barely-restrained violence — the kind that comes not from anger, but from compulsion.
Look closely and the horror deepens. The face is that of a once-ordinary man: bald, bearded, heavyset, dressed in rough-stitched trousers and worn leather boots. But the jaw hangs wrong, stretching open to reveal a mouth full of jagged, elongated teeth. One eye stares blankly forward while the other is sunken and wrong. Whatever will once animated this body has been replaced by something far worse.
The detail in the sculpt rewards careful painting. The cross-laced stitching running down both legs adds a ragged, cobbled-together quality — as though this figure was pieced back together by whoever now controls it. The musculature is heavy and exaggerated, giving the impression of unnatural strength packed into a shambling frame.
This is variation 04 of the thrall range — distinct from the other poses in its sprinting, forward-driving stance. Collectors building out a full thrall encounter group will find each variation brings its own character to the table.
