This is Thor as the old sagas imagined him — not a king upon a throne, but a warrior mid-struggle, muscles taut, hammer arcing overhead as he wrestles the coils of a massive scaled serpent with his bare hand. The sculpt captures a single explosive moment: the deity braced against the creature's thrashing body, one fist locked around its neck, the great rune-etched warhammer raised for a blow that could shatter a mountainside. His horned helm, ornate belt clasp, and secondary blade at his hip mark him as a figure of divine rank, not merely a barbarian chief. The scene base — swirling oceanic waves and writhing serpentine coils — gives the whole piece an almost diorama quality that reads powerfully both at the gaming table and on a display shelf.
For Dungeon Masters running Norse-flavoured campaigns, this miniature anchors encounters with storm gods, divine champions, or the legendary conflict at the end of the age. For painters, the layered scales, rune carvings on the hammer, and dramatic musculature offer extraordinary surface detail to work into. For collectors, it simply demands a place of honour on the shelf.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a deity, demigod, or divine champion NPC for a Norse or saga-inspired campaign
- Are building encounters around world-serpent mythology, storm gods, or Ragnarök-style events
- Play a Barbarian, Paladin, or Cleric with a storm or war domain and want a showpiece character mini
- Collect display-quality miniatures with striking narrative compositions
- Want an eye-catching centrepiece model for their painting table
Encounter Hook:
The party emerges from the depths of the Sunken Vault to find the harbour entirely still — the water pulled back from the docks, the sky a bruised green. A figure descends from the stormhead above: vast, horned, hammer raised. He does not acknowledge the adventurers. His eyes are fixed on something beneath the surface of the water. Whatever is down there, it has not yet seen them. They have perhaps six seconds to decide whether to run, hide, or do something extraordinarily foolish.
