Description

They said Maedros was just a dockworker gone crooked — but no dockworker carries a grappling hook that well-worn, or watches a room with quite that kind of patience.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Maedros cuts an unusual silhouette for a thief — broad-shouldered, heavy-set, and entirely unapologetic about it. This is not a nimble cat-burglar in silk slippers. This is a man who has survived the rougher end of city life through sheer tenacity, hard-won experience, and a coil of rope with a very useful iron hook at the end. His ragged, patched clothing speaks to years on the road and in the gutter, and the collection of belt pouches, crossbody straps, and tool loops tell you he is never without whatever he needs.

The sculpt captures him mid-stride, grounded and deliberate — one foot raised on a chunk of broken masonry, rope and grappling hook in hand, expression set in a grim, watchful squint. He is not sneaking. He is arriving, and he has decided this is exactly where he means to be. The scenic base reinforces that street-level grit, scattered with rubble, debris, and the kind of urban detritus that accumulates where city guards don't bother to look.

From Primal Collectibles' Tales of Kreyvos setting, Maedros works as a player character rogue or thief, a memorable guild enforcer, a morally flexible contact in a criminal underworld arc, or a surprisingly dangerous encounter for a party who assumed brute strength and subtlety couldn't share the same body. He slots naturally into city intrigue campaigns, heist scenarios, or anywhere a world-weary professional criminal needs a face on the table.

The miniature is multipart, allowing for clean assembly, and is available with a decorative scenic base or a plain base depending on your basing preference. A 75mm display scale variant is also available if you want to give Maedros the prominence he clearly believes he deserves.

  • Suits adventurers building a rogue or thief character for urban campaigns
  • Fits Dungeon Masters running thieves' guild arcs, city heists, or criminal contact NPCs
  • Works as a morally ambiguous ally, a hired muscle encounter, or a low-life fixer
  • Appeals to painters who enjoy expressive faces, layered fabric textures, and rope detail
  • A strong display piece for collectors who appreciate character-driven sculpts

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to recover a stolen merchant ledger before it reaches the city's most powerful fence. Their only lead is a heavyset man seen leaving the docks at dawn, carrying a coil of rope — and the warehouse district guard who swears he saw the same man scale a three-storey building without breaking a sweat. Maedros didn't steal the ledger. But he knows exactly who did, and he's already decided what it's worth to him to say so.

The cats have used their bonus action to look judgmental. As always, it was very effective.
