Wilt is one of the Spore Court Minions — a squad of diminutive, mushroom-folk warriors sculpted by Great Grimoire with a distinctive blend of the whimsical and the unsettling. This variation depicts a stout, rounded myconid archer in a wide-brimmed cap, bow fully drawn and arrow levelled at a target only Wilt can see. The bowstring is taut, the posture is purposeful, and the textured cap — warty on top, gilled beneath — gives the figure a wealth of surface detail that rewards careful painting.
Wilt wears a rough skirt of bound leaves and little else, leaning into the primordial, tribal feel of the Spore Court. The sculpt is compact and full of personality — equal parts endearing and threatening, which is precisely the energy a well-run fungal ambush requires. From the front, the gilled underside of the cap frames the draw beautifully; from behind, the mottled, pored dome of the cap tells a different story entirely.
This is the fifth variation in the Spore Court Minions range. Each variant depicts a different pose or role within the court, so adventurers collecting the full warband will find Wilt sits naturally alongside the other sculpts as a ranged skirmisher in the group.
Suited for adventurers who:
- Need plant creature encounters that go beyond the standard treant or vine blight
- Are building a myconid colony, fungal cult, or Spore Court faction for their campaign
- Want a creature that doubles as a quirky, characterful display piece on the shelf
- Run forest, Underdark, or swamp-heavy campaigns where unusual flora-based foes fit the mood
- Are collecting the full Spore Court Minions warband from Great Grimoire
Encounter Hook
The party has been following the trail of missing villagers into an ancient wood when the undergrowth falls utterly silent. Three heartbeats later, a spore-tipped arrow buries itself in the nearest tree trunk — a warning shot, or perhaps a ranging attempt. From the canopy of luminescent mushrooms ahead, half a dozen pairs of dark, gilled eyes are watching. Wilt and the Spore Court are not willing to let trespassers reach the Mycelium Heart.
