Description

Beneath the ancient fungal canopy of the Spore Court, Quelm shuffles forward with a wide grin half-hidden under his broad mushroom cap, cradling a stolen gemstone as though it were the most precious thing in the world — and to him, it very much is.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Quelm is a minion of the Spore Court — a squat, rotund mushroom-folk creature wearing a loincloth of layered leaves and sporting an oversized, wart-studded cap that dwarfs the rest of his body. His pose captures him mid-waddle, both stubby hands curled around a faceted gemstone he holds close to his belly, a smug little grin just visible beneath the shadow of that enormous cap. The rear view reveals the fine ribbed gills running under the cap's brim and the beautifully textured leaf-cloth at his waist, showing the depth of detail carried through the whole sculpt.

As a myconid-adjacent creature, Quelm reads equally well as a low-CR fungal minion, a mischievous forest sprite, or a member of an Underdark spore colony. His expression — that barely-concealed grin over whatever he's just filched — makes him a natural fit for comic relief encounters, strange fey bargains, or the opening scene of a dungeon delve gone sideways. Paint him in warm creamy tones with bioluminescent gem highlights, or go dark and mottled for a more sinister Underdark colony aesthetic.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

  • Run myconid encounters or Underdark fungal colony storylines
  • Need a distinctive, characterful plant-creature minion with genuine personality
  • Want a Feywild or forest encounter that leans strange and whimsical
  • Love painting expressive, compact sculpts with rich surface texture
  • Are building out a full Spore Court warband alongside other Great Grimoire releases

Encounter Hook

The party tracks a trail of stolen silver coins into the mushroom grove — each one carefully pressed into the soil like a seed. At the centre of the grove, Quelm sits cross-legged, turning a faceted ruby over and over in his hands and humming a tuneless drone. He doesn't run. He just smiles, and somewhere beneath the earth, something much larger stirs.

Details

Quelm is part of the Spore Court collection by Great Grimoire, supplied as a single unpainted miniature at 32mm scale on a round base. The sculpt captures Quelm from every angle — the warty, domed cap above, the grinning face below it, and the detailed leaf-cloth wrap at his waist — with the faceted gemstone cradled in his hands as the focal point of the composition.
