Brutus Valentius is a figure caught between two worlds: the rigid doctrine of the Baldurian Inquisition and the desperate humanity of the streets he protects. Clad in quilted armour layered over a brigandine chest-piece, his face hidden behind a menacing half-mask and deep hood, he moves with the coiled, kinetic energy of a fighter who has trained long past the point of hesitation. He carries twin short blades — one held in a forward grip at his hip, the other extended in a sweeping guard — and his raised knee and billowing coat-tail speak to a figure caught mid-lunge, mid-decision. There is nothing theatrical about his stance: this is someone who fights to win, and has done so many times before.

Whether you run him as a morally complex NPC within an urban intrigue campaign, a Baldurian agent gone rogue, or a player character construct with a hidden past, Brutus brings immediate presence to the table. His sculpt rewards careful painting — the fine texture of the quilted hood, the riveted panels of his chest armour, and the rough stone rubble of his base all offer excellent opportunities to build up depth with dry-brushing and washes. Equally at home on an encounter grid or a display shelf.

Encounter Hook:
The party's contact in the lower city never showed — but a hooded figure with twin blades did, claiming to have intercepted the message before the Inquisition's agents could. He says he's on their side. His mask makes it very hard to tell if he's telling the truth, and the wanted notice pinned to the tavern wall behind him bears a striking resemblance to his coat.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model and scenic rubble base are supplied as separate pieces and can be attached with a small amount of super glue — the base is sculpted to complement the pose, so we'd recommend using it as intended. As with all our prints, supports are removed before dispatch; minor surface marks are possible but easily tidied up before priming.
