Description

It does not hunger for gold — it simply cannot abide the thought of anything being taken from its sight.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Observer is a many-eyed aberration of unsettling proportions, its scaled, bulbous body bristling with spines and ringed by four articulated arms, each tipped with a smooth, unblinking eye-orb. The central maw gapes wide with rows of needle-sharp teeth, and the creature coils over a carved treasure chest surrounded by scattered coins and a curled scroll — because The Observer does not hoard wealth for its value. It hoards it because it is there, and watching over things is the only purpose it has ever known. The sculpt captures that obsessive territorial energy beautifully, with the body arching aggressively forward and one arm raised high in a threat display that fills every inch of its stone-tiered base.

This is a display-worthy centrepiece sculpt as much as it is a tabletop encounter piece. The back of the model reveals an extraordinary amount of overlapping scale and feather-like texture across the creature's domed body — the kind of detail that rewards both a careful paint job and a moment of study before the game even begins. Whether you're statting it as a beholder-kin, a homebrew aberration, or a dungeon-dwelling hoard-guardian, this miniature has the presence to anchor an entire session around it.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark encounters and need a visually distinctive aberration to anchor them
  • Want a beholder-adjacent creature that feels wholly original at the table
  • Are building a hoard-guardian encounter with environmental storytelling baked into the base
  • Collect display miniatures that reward detailed brushwork across complex textures

Encounter Hook:
The party follows rumours of a lost merchant's vault beneath the old counting house — but when they find it, the vault is intact, the gold untouched, and The Observer is coiled across the chest, four eyes tracking each of them in turn. It has not eaten the merchant. The merchant is still in the room. The Observer simply would not let him leave.

What's included:
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces — the base features a cobblestone dais scattered with coins, a treasure chest, and a scroll, and the creature interacts naturally with it, so we recommend displaying them together. Printed unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushes. Supports are removed before dispatch; minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.

The cats attempted a Sleight of Hand check on the bubble wrap. We do not discuss what happened.
