The Mad Rabbit is one of the more unsettling sculpts Great Grimoire has produced — and that is saying something. At first glance the silhouette suggests something almost familiar: long ears, a belted coat, a slight forward stoop. Then the details resolve. The hands are skeletal, elongated into multi-jointed claws that drag at the air. The face is a narrow-beaked, hollow-eyed skull perched beneath those distinctive ears, an unsettling mechanical pocket watch hanging from the coat front. The cloak falls in heavy, tattered folds behind it, and the whole thing leans forward with a predatory weight entirely at odds with its lagomorphic origins.

This is a miniature with a great deal going on. The bony claws — both hands rendered in this extraordinary skeletal detail — are the centrepiece for painters, offering a challenge in drybrushing and washing that will reward the time invested. The coat and belted clothing underneath give contrast between hard and soft surfaces. The cracked flagstone decorative base completes the piece, grounding this strange creature in something that feels like a forgotten courtyard or a decaying Feywild waystation.
