This charming piece of fantasy terrain captures every detail of a lived-in, music-filled inn. The curved roof blooms with oversized succulents and water lilies, while a lute is suspended from a decorative chain above the entrance — flanked by a fiddle leaning against a stool and a set of bagpipes propped nearby. Hanging lanterns, a small side table with a mug, a shepherd's crook, and scattered mushrooms complete the scene. Two detachable lily pad tokens sit in front of the building, ideal for placing on a marsh or riverbank table. It's the kind of location that immediately tells your players a story before a word of dialogue is spoken.
Whether you're running a session in a halfling village, a Feywild outpost, or a quiet riverside settlement, the Lute and Lily gives your table an instant focal point — somewhere your bard party member will immediately insist their character has a tab running.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a characterful tavern centrepiece for town or village encounters
- Are running Feywild, pastoral, or halfling-settlement campaigns
- Need atmospheric scatter terrain that doubles as cover on a battle map
- Are building dioramas or display shelves with a whimsical fantasy theme
- Love painting highly detailed terrain with rich, narrative surface interest
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a lead to the Lute and Lily — but when they arrive, the door is ajar, three instruments are lying in the mud outside, and the innkeeper is nowhere to be found. The lily pads in the shallows nearby are disturbed, and something large moved through the water not long ago.
Details
What's included:
This terrain piece is scaled to 32mm. The model with the detailed base comes as a single assembled piece. The model with the plain base comes with the base detached, ready to be affixed with a small amount of glue. Two lily pad tokens are included as separate pieces. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail terrain, minor surface marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming. The piece is ready to prime and paint straight from the box.
