The Looking Glass Weaver is one of those creatures that stops a table cold the moment it hits the mat. Spider-like in form, it scuttles across cracked stone on long, blade-tipped limbs — each leg a curved scythe of chitin — while its demonic, broad-featured head hangs low between massive forelimbs, fanged jaw agape. But the centrepiece is what it carries: a grand, ornately framed oval mirror, suspended by heavy chains from its thorax, the glass within shattered into a web of cracks radiating from a central point. The frame itself is baroque and pointed, crowned with fleur-de-lis flourishes and thorned spurs, giving the whole creature the air of a corrupted gallery that has grown legs and gone hunting.
