The Marrowhowl is a creature born from the worst corners of the Abyss — a towering, muscle-bound demon whose body is a grotesque testament to the lives it has taken. Twin skulls with lolling serpent tongues erupt from its torso, framed by curling ram's horns. Rope and bone bindings wrap its forearms, shins, and waist, and in each massive hand it carries a hooked, skull-pommel axe designed not just to kill but to harvest. This is not a brute that stumbles into combat — it strides in with intent.
Great Grimoire have sculpted the Marrowhowl across two distinct front-facing poses, each offering a different weapon loadout: one variant wields twin axes in a wide, aggressive dual-wield stance; the second pairs a single axe with a jagged bone shield, presenting a more guarded, calculating posture. A third render reveals the creature's heavily textured back — scaled hide across the shoulders, skulls bound at the belt, and the full mass of its frame on display. All three perspectives are captured in high-quality digital renders, unpainted, at 35mm scale.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable demon encounter or Abyssal boss fight for their D&D 5e or TTRPG campaign
- Are building encounters around fiend cults, planar invasions, or demonic summoning gone wrong
- Want a display piece that holds its own on any collector's shelf
- Are drawn to large, characterful monster sculpts with exceptional detail
Encounter Hook:
The party's warlock offered a binding oath to keep the portal sealed. The Marrowhowl walked through it anyway — not because the seal failed, but because something on the other side broke the warlock's will first. It's already in the village. It has already counted the houses.
This miniature is printed at 35mm scale — slightly larger than standard 32mm, giving the Marrowhowl the imposing presence it deserves on the tabletop. If you would prefer a different scale, send us a message and we will do our best to accommodate you. A plain black base is included as standard; a decorative scenic base is available as an upgrade — if you select this option, please send us a note specifying which of the three base styles you would like. The base arrives separate and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch, and every piece goes through a quality check before it leaves us — minor surface marks are occasionally possible and can be tidied up before painting.
