The Last Dream of Sylvaine Albaire is one of the most narrative-rich sculpts we carry — a dark fairytale tableau rather than a conventional miniature. Sylvaine reclines in a coffin-like frame wreathed entirely in apples, her gown cascading over the ornately scrolled base, a single hand raised languidly as though caught mid-gesture in an endless dream. Small candles flicker at her feet. The arched backboard above her is crowded with carved fruit and baroque flourishes, crowned by a single apple at its peak. Every inch of this piece tells a story before a word of description is spoken aloud.
For Dungeon Masters, this is the kind of set piece that stops a session in its tracks — a cursed noblewoman, a fey bargain gone wrong, a hag's revenge preserved in enchanted sleep. For collectors and painters, the layered textures of cascading fabric, clustered apples, and rococo scrollwork offer a genuinely demanding and rewarding subject. Displayed upright she commands a shelf; laid flat she becomes the centrepiece of a funeral crypt or enchanted grove encounter.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a dramatic NPC centrepiece for a curse, bargain, or dark fairytale arc
- Are building a Feywild, Ravenloft, or Gothic horror encounter scene
- Want a showpiece display mini with exceptional sculptural detail
- Are looking for a challenging and rewarding painting project
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to retrieve a stolen heirloom from a ruined manor — but deep in the overgrown cellar they find Lady Sylvaine still lying in her casket, the apples around her perfectly fresh despite a century of dust. When one of the party leans in to examine her, her eyes open for just a moment, and she whispers a single name before falling silent again. That name belongs to someone in the party's past.

What's included:
This miniature is printed at 35mm scale — if you'd prefer 32mm, send us a message before ordering and we'll adjust it for you. A decorative base option is available; if selected, please include a note specifying your preferred base style. The base — whether decorative or plain — is supplied separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Some minor marks from the printing process may be present but are easily tidied up before painting.
