The Hermit is a striking sculpt of a hooded elder sorcerer or wandering sage, robes layered and travel-worn, one gnarled hand raising a lantern into the dark and the other gripping a tall twisted staff. His long beard and deep-set expression speak of decades of solitary study — or perhaps exile. Flanking him on either side are two wolves, one sitting attentively and one standing alert, their loyalty to this old wanderer unmistakable. The sculpt is rich in narrative detail: a small pouch hangs at his belt on the reverse, and the flowing fabric of his cloak is rendered with exceptional depth, making this a genuine centrepiece for the table or the display shelf.

Whether you run him as a retired archmage living off-grid, a druid who has long since abandoned civilisation, or a mysterious quest-giver who knows far more than he lets on, The Hermit brings instant gravitas to any encounter. He is equally at home as a wandering NPC your party meets at a forest crossroads or as an ally whose wolves serve as silent sentinels during camp. For collectors, the composition — figure, staff, lantern, and two wolves on a single base — makes this a natural display piece straight out of the box.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable elder wizard or druid NPC with real presence at the table
  • Are building an encounter in a forest, mountain pass, or isolated wilderness
  • Want a sculpt that doubles as a display piece thanks to its strong three-figure composition
  • Play or DM campaigns where mysterious, lore-heavy NPCs drive the story forward
  • Are collectors drawn to character-rich sculpts with strong visual narrative

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a series of disappearances along the northern trade road. On the third night, a pale lantern light appears through the treeline — moving steadily, unhurried, accompanied by the soft pad of paws on frozen ground. When the old man finally speaks, he already knows their names, and asks, very quietly, whether they have yet considered turning back.
