Description

He arrived in town three days before the disappearances began — tall, broad-brimmed, and carrying a case that no one has ever seen him open.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Hat Man is one of those rare miniatures that does the storytelling for you. Dressed in a long double-breasted coat belted at the waist, wide flat-brimmed hat pulled low, and a small case held at his side, he reads as a figure with history — and secrets. There's no face visible beneath that brim, which makes him all the more compelling at the table. Is he a shadowy informant? A travelling plague doctor with a sinister bedside manner? A warlock patron made manifest? A Ravenloft investigator who knows far more than he's letting on? The sculpt leaves the answer entirely in your hands, and that ambiguity is precisely what makes him so useful.

Details

At 32mm scale, the silhouette is immediately striking — the long coat, the hat, and the case create a shape that players will remember long after the session ends. He paints up beautifully in dark, desaturated tones, but equally rewards a more dramatic approach for display collectors who want to make the most of that coat's layered detail.

For adventurers who:

  • Need a mysterious, morally ambiguous NPC to anchor an urban or gothic campaign
  • Want a miniature that works equally well as a Warlock patron, shadowy villain, or unsettling quest-giver
  • Are building a Ravenloft, Curse of Strahd, or city-intrigue encounter
  • Collect characterful humanoid figures that defy easy categorisation

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tailing the Hat Man across the city for two days. Tonight, he stops in front of a building they recognise — the home of the merchant who hired them. He doesn't knock. He simply stands there, case in hand, waiting. When they approach, he turns, and where his face should be there is nothing but shadow. Then he speaks, and he knows every one of their names.

Supplied as a single-piece miniature at 32mm scale, attached to its base and ready for priming and painting. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch — minor surface marks from the printing process may occasionally occur but are easily addressed with light sanding.

The miniatures are made with care. The cats are made with attitude. Both are features, not bugs.
