The Faceless Queen is a display-scale undead horror built for the moments in a campaign when the players realise they have walked into something far beyond a random encounter. Wielding two enormous bone-hilted scythes — each capped with a serpentine dragon-skull finial — she stands on a runic summoning circle base that suggests rituals older than any kingdom on your map. Her tattered layered robes trail behind her in ragged points, her silhouette somewhere between lich, death goddess, and ancient curse given form. Four arms, twin crescent blades, and a crown of jagged spines: she is built to dominate the centre of a battlemat and hold every eye at the table.
At larger-than-standard scale (approximately 55mm base), she reads unmistakably as a boss encounter — a BBEG with the presence to anchor an entire campaign arc. Whether she's the undying ruler of a fallen kingdom, a necromancer who refused to stay dead, or the embodiment of a god of endings, she carries the weight of that story in her posture and her blades. Equally at home on a display shelf as on the tabletop, she rewards careful painting — the layered cloth, bone weaponry, and runic base each offer distinct opportunities for a painter of any experience level.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding undead BBEG with serious visual presence
- Are building a necromancer's court, a cursed kingdom, or a death-cult storyline
- Want a display-scale centrepiece that works both in play and on a shelf
- Enjoy a painting project with varied textures — cloth, bone, stone runes, and worn armour
- Are running Ravenloft, Shadowfell, or any campaign where death holds dominion
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the throne room of the Bleached Citadel expecting a lich — instead, they find a throne occupied by something older, something that has no face to read and no voice to parley with, only four scythes slowly rising to meet them as runes on the floor begin to glow.
The Faceless Queen is printed at display scale with a 55mm base — larger than standard 32mm to reflect her status as a boss-tier miniature. If you need a different scale, send us a message and we'll see what we can do. The base is included detached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Some minor clean-up of support marks may be required, as with all resin printing — these are straightforward to address before priming.
