The Faceless Queen Bust by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
She wears a crown of jagged crystal and a face of nothing — and somehow, that is the most terrifying thing your party has ever seen.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
The Faceless Queen is one of those figures that stops a room. Her crystal crown rises in sharp, angular points above a cascade of wild, tangled hair that falls across armour etched with intricate filigree and bordered with snarling skull motifs. Where her face should be, there is only void — a deliberate, haunting absence that leaves the imagination to do its worst. Flanking her shoulders, grotesque skull pauldrons snarl outward, and in one hand she raises what appears to be a shard of ice or shattered blade, its edge catching the light with menace. This is a ruler who does not need an expression to command fear.
As a display bust sculpted at collector scale, every surface here rewards close attention and a steady brush. The layered textures — from the flow of her tattered robes to the ornate breastplate to the rough-hewn stone base — give painters a genuinely varied challenge across a single piece. Whether you're building a display shelf of memorable villains or hunting for visual inspiration for your next campaign's BBEG, this bust earns its place.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Want a detailed display painting project with rich surface variety
- Are building a fantasy bust collection for the shelf or showcase
- Need a chilling patron, villain, or dark queen NPC for their D&D campaign
- Are drawn to undead or otherworldly sovereigns with a striking visual presence
Encounter Hook:
The party reaches the throne room of the Ashen Court expecting a lich or a tyrant — and instead finds a figure seated in absolute silence, crown gleaming, face utterly blank. No guards. No retinue. Just her, and the slow realisation that she has been watching them since they crossed the border three days ago.
Details
This is a display bust, scaled for painters and collectors rather than tabletop combat use. It arrives unpainted and ready for your palette, mounted on a detailed stone plinth base. Supplied with supports removed; minor clean-up may occasionally be needed but the piece is fully cured and ready to paint.
