Description

They say the kingdom fell not to war, but to a curse — that the king's face was stolen by the very pact he made, leaving only a crown, a shattered banner, and the silence of an empty throne.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

The Faceless King Bust is a large-format display piece that commands attention from every angle. The sculpt depicts a powerfully built royal figure in heavily ornamented plate armour, engraved with sweeping acanthus scrollwork and layered pauldrons. A torn cloth banner rises behind him — its battlements still visible at the crown — while a jagged shard of something fractured and spectral curves across the composition, giving the whole piece a sense of violence preserved mid-moment. There is no face to read, no expression to interpret — only authority, ruin, and the weight of a reign gone terribly wrong.

For painters, this is a showpiece with depth: the weathered banner cloth, the intricate armour filigree, and the dramatic negative space of the absent face all offer distinct techniques to explore. For Dungeon Masters, this is a visual anchor for a cursed monarch, a hollow sovereign, or the forgotten ruler whose name no one dares speak aloud at court.

Brought to your collection by adventurers who:

  • Want a centrepiece bust for a display shelf or painting competition entry
  • Are building a campaign villain with presence and mystique
  • Love character busts that reward close inspection with layers of sculpted detail
  • Need a visual reference for a cursed king, undead ruler, or powerful NPC patron

Encounter Hook:
The party has spent three sessions hearing whispers of the Faceless King — a sovereign whose name was erased from every royal record after he bargained with a power older than the kingdom itself. When they finally enter the throne room, they find it empty save for a crumbling bust on a stone plinth. As the rogue reaches out to touch it, the banner behind the figure stirs in air that has no wind — and a voice speaks from a mouth that isn't there.

This bust is printed at display scale and comes with its own sculpted stone plinth base as part of the composition. It is suited to display collecting and painting projects rather than standard tabletop play, though it makes a compelling prop for in-session roleplay. Print quality is high-resolution with fine layer detail captured throughout.
