Jacquie Sparkes, known across the workshop districts as the Eccentric Electric, is the kind of artificer who doesn't wait for spells to be discovered — she invents them. This sculpt captures her mid-discharge, wide-legged stance braced against the recoil of an enormous gear-fed lightning cannon, while a forked arc of conjured electricity crackles outward from the barrel. Her head is crowned with a mad tangle of coils, antennae, and spark-gap conductors, and her back-mounted generator pack bristles with pipes, capacitors, and what appears to be a heavily modified alchemical engine. Every surface tells a story of obsessive iteration — bolts replaced, components upgraded, the whole ensemble teetering magnificently on the edge of catastrophic success.
From the front, Jacquie's wild-haired grin and dynamic forward lean sell the chaos of her craft. From the rear, the sheer density of her generator rig — stacked coils, armoured conduits, pressure tanks — rewards a closer look and gives painters an extraordinary canvas of mechanical texture to work across. She's equally at home as a playable Artificer character, a dangerously inventive ally, or the eccentric genius who sold the party a device that definitely won't explode. Probably.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Play an Artificer, Wizard, or Sorcerer with a steampunk or magitech flavour
- Need a memorable NPC — a fixer, an inventor, or a chaotic neutral quest-giver with a machine that's already on fire
- Are building a steampunk, Eberron, or magitech campaign setting with distinctive character minis
- Want a display piece that rewards painting across metal, leather, and crackling energy effects
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at Jacquie's workshop to find the front wall missing and a crater where the courtyard used to be. Jacquie herself is fine — thrilled, actually — and she needs the adventurers to retrieve a specific component from the ruins of a collapsed city tower before she can demonstrate what the cannon was actually designed to do. She promises it will only explode once. She says this with complete confidence and a smear of grease across her nose.
