Description

For centuries, the gargoyles of Belfria were believed to be mere stonework — until the night Artyr spread his wings, tightened his grip on the great axe-polearm, and proved every scholar catastrophically wrong.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Artyr is no mindless sentinel. He is a territorial predator with centuries of patience and the raw physicality to back it up. Crouched atop a crumbling stone parapet — its surface etched with worn carvings and flanked by a snarling beast-face relief — he leans forward with coiled menace, bat-like wings spread wide and one taloned hand reaching outward as though measuring the distance to his next target. His face is a mask of fury: parted jaws, curling horns, and hollow eyes that read as burning red under the right lighting. A heavy polearm rests in his grip, its blade scarred and brutal. Every surface of his body is covered in the cracked, veined texture of ancient stone — this is a creature that has been still for a very long time and is done waiting.

The sculpt rewards attention to detail. The wing membranes are torn and pitted with age, the runes etched into the axe blade carry a faint suggestion of dark enchantment, and the stonework base — square-cut and weather-worn — gives Artyr an imposing throne that doubles as terrain dressing. Equally at home on a tabletop encounter grid or as a display piece on a shelf, he carries the weight of a boss-tier creature with every line of his sculpt.

A fine addition for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable gargoyle boss or guardian for a dungeon, cathedral, or cursed fortress
  • Want a large, characterful monster that reads clearly across the table
  • Are building a Ravenloft, dark fantasy, or Gothic horror campaign
  • Collect display-worthy creature minis that hold their own unpainted or fully detailed

Encounter Hook:
The party has climbed to the bell tower of the Belfrian Cathedral, following rumours of a stolen artefact. The tower is silent — but the stone figure crouched above the entrance has shifted since they last looked up. As the first adventurer reaches the top of the stairs, Artyr drops from his perch, polearm already swinging, and the long-cold cathedral erupts into chaos.

What's included:
Artyr is scaled to 32mm and comes with a sculpted decorative stone base, which is cast as a separate piece and attaches easily. The model is supplied unpainted and ready for priming. As with all hand-finished resin miniatures, minor surface marks may occasionally be present — these are straightforward to address with light preparation before painting.
