The Beast Within (Casual Pose) is a towering, bull-headed monstrosity caught in a deceptively restrained stance — weight shifted forward, broken chains dangling from iron-cuffed wrists, a severed ball and chain at its hooves. The word "casual" does a great deal of heavy lifting here. This creature isn't charging; it's considering charging, and somehow that reads as even more dangerous. The sculpt features an extraordinary level of detail — layered, ridged horns sweeping back from a snarling maw lined with jagged fangs, heavily muscled arms wrapped in tattered cloth, and hooved legs that suggest both tremendous power and terrifying restraint. The textured base adds scrubby undergrowth that grounds the piece without overcomplicating it.

Whether you need a Labyrinth Lord, a demon-blooded gladiator escaped from the Nine Hells, or a monstrous warband leader who lets his reputation do the talking before his fists do the rest — this sculpt carries genuine presence on the tabletop. Equally compelling as a display piece for collectors who appreciate sculpting craft, the level of anatomical and textural detail holds up under close inspection and rewards a careful paint job.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a large-scale monster or boss encounter for a D&D 5e or TTRPG campaign
  • Are building a hellish arena, gladiatorial pit, or abyssal dungeon encounter
  • Want a centrepiece miniature for a display shelf or diorama
  • Enjoy a challenging and rewarding painting project with complex musculature and texture

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to escort a notorious prisoner through the city — a hulking, chained beast-man whose handler assures them the manacles have never broken. Halfway through the market district, the handler goes pale, points to the creature's left wrist, and whispers: "That cuff wasn't open this morning."

This is the Casual Pose variant from M3DM's The Beast Within range — check the shop for additional poses if you'd like to field the full set. Supplied at 32mm scale, attached to its sculpted scenic base as a single piece. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or striking enough to display as-is. Each piece is individually quality checked, though minor surface marks inherent to the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily addressed.
