Description
The chains were meant to hold it — but the iron links scatter across the flagstones like broken promises as the beast lurches forward, hunger blazing in its hollow eyes.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Beast Within is no mindless brute. Something of the creature it once was flickers behind those curved horns and clacking, fang-filled jaws — which makes it all the more terrifying. Stripped to torn cloth, wrists still ringed with iron shackles and a ball-and-chain dragging at one cloven hoof, this creature speaks of a captivity recently and violently ended. The sculpt captures it mid-lunge, one claw raking the air, body coiled with explosive musculature — a moment of feral release frozen in miniature. Whether you're running it as a fiend that slipped its warlock's leash, an Abyssal gladiator escaped from the pits, or a curse given flesh, the pose sells the threat completely.
This is the Action Pose variant of The Beast Within range — forward-lunging, claws outstretched, chains trailing — distinct from the companion crouching sculpt. Equally well-suited to the tabletop or a display shelf, and a genuinely rewarding painting project with all that layered muscle, torn fabric, and oxidised chain to work with.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a large, imposing fiend or Abyssal boss encounter for their D&D 5e campaign
- Are building a dungeon arena, summoning-gone-wrong, or escaped-prisoner encounter
- Want a characterful monster for Curse of Strahd, homebrew horror, or planar adventures
- Enjoy painting highly detailed creature miniatures with strong surface texture
- Collect monster minis for display alongside their tabletop sets
Encounter Hook:
The adventurers were hired to retrieve a prisoner from the Ironmaw Pits — but when they reach the holding cells, three guards lie dead, the shackle-bolt is still locked shut from the inside, and something wet and heavy is moving in the shadows at the far end of the corridor. The contract didn't mention what kind of prisoner it was.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model on a detailed base comes as a single piece. The plain base variant ships with the base detached for easy gluing. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin miniatures, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and can be cleaned up easily before priming.
