Tent by Epic Miniatures
Description
Every adventuring party needs somewhere to rest their heads — and wherever the road leads, this weathered canvas tent marks the boundary between the wild and a hard-earned short rest.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This large-scale canvas tent is a richly detailed scatter terrain piece suited to wilderness campsites, travelling merchant encampments, military field camps, or overland journey encounters. The sculpt shows a classic ridge-pole tent design with layered, overlapping canvas panels across the pitched roof — each panel with soft, realistic folds and scalloped edges that give the whole piece real tactile weight. Rope ties and wooden poles are visible at the sides, and the canvas walls hang with believable drape and tension.
The scale reference in the product render confirms this is a large terrain piece — notably bigger than a standard 32mm character mini, making it a convincing centrepiece for any encampment scene. Paint it in earthy tans and burnt oranges for a sun-baked desert caravan, or layer on damp grey washes for a sodden military bivouac deep in the forest. The clean geometry and well-defined surface texture make it an approachable painting project for all skill levels.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Run overland travel encounters and want to make rest stops feel real
- Need market, festival, or bazaar scatter for urban or wilderness settings
- Are building a military encampment for a war-campaign session
- Want grounded, functional terrain that tells a story without a single word
- Enjoy painting terrain pieces as a change of pace from character minis
Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a smuggler's convoy for three days. As dusk falls, they spot a cluster of tents in a hollow below the treeline — one of which matches the description given by their contact in the last village. The question is: do they go in quietly, or wait to see who else arrives before dawn?
