Description

Every deal struck, every rumour traded, every poisoned cup slid quietly across the table — it all happens here, in the corner of the inn where the candles burn low and nobody asks too many questions.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

A tavern without furniture is just a draughty room with a sign outside. This round tavern table and four matching chairs set gives your inn, alehouse, or guildhall the lived-in character it deserves. The table features a planked wooden top with studded iron banding around the rim and a solid cross-footed pedestal base — the kind of heavy, unpretentious furniture that's been repaired twice and never once replaced. The four chairs are straightforward, robust slatted-back designs with rope-wrapped joints, the sort of seating that's survived countless bar brawls and will survive a few more.

As scatter terrain, this set does exactly what good scatter should: it fills a space, tells a story, and gives your player characters somewhere to sit while your Dungeon Master describes the suspicious hooded figure in the far corner. Arrange the chairs however your encounter demands — all four around the table for a tense negotiation scene, or scattered mid-brawl to show that things have already kicked off.

The set is supplied unpainted and ready to prime, which means you have full control over the finish. A simple wood-grain drybrush and a dark wash will bring the planking and studded rim to life in minutes. The rope wrapping on the chair joints rewards a bit of careful painting for a more detailed result.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run tavern-based encounters, heist planning scenes, or faction meetings
  • Want consistent, characterful furniture across their dungeon tile or modular terrain sets
  • Are building a painted inn diorama or display scene
  • Prefer scatter terrain that adds narrative texture, not just geometric filler

Encounter Hook: The party has been told to meet their contact at the Stumbling Drake — third table from the back, the round one. When they arrive, the table is occupied by four armed strangers who claim to have been there all evening. The contact is nowhere to be seen. One of the chairs has a fresh bloodstain on the seat, and someone has scratched a single word into the underside of the table.
