This is pose 1 of our Slaad Tadpole range, sculpted by Novaminis. The Slaad Tadpole is the larval form of one of D&D's most unsettling creatures — implanted into unwilling hosts by Red Slaad claws, wriggling towards a grotesque metamorphosis. This sculpt captures that writhing, predatory energy with an S-curved tail coiling to a hooked tip and a spined, fang-filled head rearing upward as if sensing prey. The musculature and spine detail across the body give it a genuinely skin-crawling texture, while the organic curves make it a compelling piece for painters chasing that fleshy, translucent look.
Whether you're running a body horror arc in the Underdark, springing a Slaad infestation on an unsuspecting party, or building a display shelf of D&D's most chaotic horrors, this miniature earns its place on the table.
For adventurers who:
- Want to horrify their players with a Slaad lifecycle encounter
- Need a small but threatening creature to populate a dungeon or body-horror scenario
- Enjoy painting organic, creature-feature miniatures with complex skin tones
- Collect aberrations and creatures of Limbo for display
Encounter Hook:
The cleric fails the Medicine check and goes pale — the wound on the fighter's arm isn't infected. Something inside it just moved.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base; the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each piece is printed to a high standard and support marks removed, though minor imperfections inherent to the printing process may occasionally occur — these are easily tidied up before priming.
