Sword Rising from Flames by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Somewhere beneath the ruined temple floor, a blade of legend stirs — its ornate crossguard wreathed in coiling flames, waiting for the champion bold enough to claim it.
- ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table
This sculpt captures a richly detailed longsword thrust upward from a base of swirling, organic flame — a showpiece as much as a game piece. The crossguard is decorated with elaborate floral and foliate relief work, giving the weapon a sacred, almost relic-like quality. Whether it represents an enchanted artefact buried in an ancient vault, the manifestation of a divine trial, or simply the most dramatic way to mark a quest objective your players will ever encounter, this piece earns its place on the table.
At 32mm scale, the silhouette reads clearly across a battlemat, and the fine surface detail rewards careful painting — flame layers, glinting metal, and those botanical carvings each offer their own painting challenge. Equally compelling as a display piece on its own, it speaks to collectors who appreciate a sculpt with genuine character.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a tactile, eye-catching marker for legendary weapons or quest objectives
- Run encounters involving divine trials, cursed artefacts, or legendary item reveals
- Want a centrepiece for altar, dungeon, or ruin scatter terrain setups
- Enjoy detailed, lore-rich painting projects with varied textures
- Build display collections of fantasy accessories alongside their minis
Encounter Hook:
The party has descended into the flooded undercroft of a collapsed cathedral. In the centre of the chamber, half-submerged in stagnant water, a sword erupts upward from the stone — flames dancing impossibly above the waterline. A distant voice, neither male nor female, echoes off the walls: "Only the one who does not seek power may take it." Three party members are already moving forward. The Paladin looks deeply uncomfortable.
