The Sweet Mimic range from Great Grimoire takes the classic shape-shifting monster and wraps it in something altogether more unsettling: domestic charm. This variation (pose 02 of the Sweet Mimic range) depicts a warped, pockmarked teacup and saucer, its porcelain surface bubbling with grotesque organic detail — and from within, three grasping, clawed hands claw upwards in a desperate, grasping frenzy. A plain teacup and saucer (the mimic's true form) is also included, giving you both sides of the deception on the tabletop.
Whether placed as dungeon dressing, used as scatter terrain in a hag's kitchen, or dropped into a Feywild tea party gone very wrong, this sculpt delivers exactly the kind of slow-burn dread that makes players second-guess every object in the room. The level of detail in the corrupted cup — from the bubbling surface texture to the individual fingers straining upwards — makes it equally at home on a display shelf as it is on the game table.
