This is the Swarm of Spiders 01, a deeply unsettling piece of encounter scenery and creature miniature in one. Sculpted over a jagged, faceted rock formation, the swarm is an interconnected mass of spiders in various sizes — their gnarled, textured legs tangling and overlapping across the entire base. Scattered throughout are swollen, smooth egg sacs at different stages, some still intact, others already splitting open. A few spiders have broken free from the main cluster, skittering outward with limbs outstretched, whilst others claw upward from the centre in a writhing tower of chitin and silk. The level of surface detail — every joint, every barbed limb, every veined sac — makes this as rewarding to paint as it is horrifying to place on the table.
Whether you're running a descent into the Underdark, a drow-haunted cavern, or a spider-infested ruin, this swarm miniature brings immediate atmosphere. It works equally well as a Beast encounter token, a nest objective marker, or a disturbing centrepiece for a horror-themed display shelf. This is pose/variant 01 of the Swarm of Spiders range.

Encounter Hook:
The party finds a dwarven supply cache in the lower tunnels — crates still sealed, torches still mounted. But every surface is coated in silk, and a single egg sac the size of a helm sits atop the central crate. A ranger's Perception check clocks the stone floor shifting. The swarm was never sleeping. It was waiting.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each piece is produced at high resolution with supports removed; minor blemishes from the printing process are possible but easily tidied up before priming.
