The Swarm Matriarch is not a demon in the conventional sense. She is something that predates the classification, a towering insectoid sovereign who wears the trappings of fiendish corruption like bark over heartwood. Her elongated form rises from a cracked and moss-carpeted stump, serrated limbs raised as though conducting a silent, chitinous symphony. Curling horns crown a hollow-eyed visage, and jagged wing-like protrusions fan outward from her flanks, giving her the silhouette of something between a queen and a god. This sculpt captures her mid-rite — a being of immense and unhurried menace, utterly certain of her dominion.
At 80mm base diameter, the Swarm Matriarch is scaled as a true boss presence. The runic-inscribed base is packed with detail — clutches of eggs nestle at the base of the stump, wild fungal growths push through the earth, and ancient glyphs ring the plinth like a warning no one heeded in time. She works equally well as a BBEG centrepiece in play or as a display piece that commands any shelf she occupies.

Encounter Hook:
The party was hired to clear a blighted grove — three villages had gone quiet over the past season, their wells stopped running, their fields gone black. At the centre of the dead forest stands a colossal petrified stump, carved with runes none of the scholars recognise. Around it, hundreds of pale egg casings. As the druid reaches out to examine one, the stump opens its eyes.

What's included:
This model is printed at a larger display scale — the base measures 80mm, making her considerably larger than a standard 32mm miniature. The sculpted base ships detached and can be affixed with a small amount of adhesive. The model arrives ready for priming and painting, though she holds her own unpainted as well. Supports are removed as part of our process; minor marks can occasionally occur and are easily addressed before painting.
