The Strawberry Mimic is one of those sculpts that walks a razor's edge between unsettling and delightful — and lands squarely on both. Sculpted by La Louve 3D, this angry little berry wears its face openly: heavy-lidded eyes screwed into a scowl, a wide mouth crammed with blocky square teeth, and the leafy crown of an entirely innocent piece of fruit sitting on top of it all. The contrast is the joke, and the joke is genuinely well executed.
In play, mimics don't have to be chests or doors. A bowl of enchanted fruit in a hag's kitchen, a market stall in a Feywild settlement, or a Druid's offering to a nature deity — any of these become immediately more interesting when one of the strawberries opens its eyes and bares its teeth at the party's Ranger. This is pose 4 of the Strawberry Mimic range from La Louve 3D, and it makes a brilliant companion to the other sculpts in the series. As a standalone display piece it's equally at home on a shelf, especially once painted up in deep reds with those unsettling ivory teeth picked out in bone white.

Encounter Hook:
The herbalist in town has been acting strangely — distracted, hollow-eyed, barely eating. When the party visits her cottage they find the windowsill lined with a dozen perfect strawberries, all facing the door. One of them, they slowly realise, is facing the wrong way. It is also breathing.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale and ready for priming and painting straight out of the box. The model and decorative base (if selected) are provided as separate pieces — a small amount of glue will secure them together. The base has been designed to complement the sculpt, so we recommend including it for the best overall presentation. Minor marks or support remnants from the printing process may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before painting.
