Mimics are among the most beloved creatures in any dungeon master's toolkit, but the Strawberry Mimic takes the classic shapeshifter concept somewhere altogether more unsettling. Rather than lurking inside a chest or wardrobe, this one has taken the form of an oversized, textured strawberry — complete with leafy calyx and a smaller berry perched on top, lending it an almost endearing silhouette right up until the moment those clawed feet become visible at the base. It's equal parts comic horror and genuinely clever design, the kind of mini that gets a reaction at the table before a single die is rolled.
Whether you're dropping it into a Feywild marketplace, a druid's grove gone wrong, or simply want to punish your players for trusting anything edible in a dungeon, this sculpt delivers character in abundance. Encounter Hook:
The party stumbles upon an abandoned harvest festival — baskets of oversized fruit piled high around a maypole, not a soul in sight. A successful DC 14 Perception check reveals that one of the strawberries hasn't moved in the breeze. The others have. Something is very, very still.
This miniature is scaled to 32mm and arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight away as-is. A base option is available — models are supplied as separate pieces and attach easily with a small amount of glue. Where a decorative base is included, it has been sculpted to complement the model directly.
