Storm Spirit 04 by Great Grimoire

This is no mindless force of weather. The Storm Overlord is a towering giant-kin warlord, clad in swirling ceremonial armour etched with storm-rune spirals, horned helm cresting above a masked face that radiates cold authority. In each great fist he carries a rune-carved maul — one held low and dragging, one raised mid-swing — as though the act of destruction is simply how he walks through the world. Lightning arcs across his body in the digital render, making clear this creature doesn't channel storms: he is the storm.
On the tabletop, the Storm Overlord fits naturally as a high-CR boss encounter — a Huge-scaled elemental giant for use with 5e's Storm Giant statblock, a titanic warlord for homebrew planar campaigns, or the named champion of a Primordial war host. His hunched, forward-driving pose reads as aggressive momentum, perfect for the moment the party realises the diplomacy phase is definitively over. Off the table, the sculpt's layered armour detail, flowing lower robes, and dual-weapon silhouette make him a genuinely rewarding display piece for painters who want something with presence.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a boss-tier storm giant or elemental warlord for a high-level encounter
- Are building a Primordial, planar, or giant-themed campaign arc
- Want a large-scale centrepiece miniature for their display collection
- Are looking for a dual-weapon giant with distinctive ceremonial armour to paint
Encounter Hook:
The party's airship crests the stormwall and finds it waiting — the Storm Overlord standing on a shattered cloud-fortress parapet, both mauls in hand, having already sent three armies back to the earth below. He does not shout a challenge. He simply raises one hammer, and the sky answers with a thunderclap that rattles every tooth in the party's heads.
